Putin tells Macron barriers for Russian exports still in place
MOSCOW, Aug 19 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has drawn attention of France's President Emmanuel Macron to the fact that barriers for Russian exports remain, which is not beneficial for global food security, the Kremlin said on Friday.
"Attention was drawn to the fact that there are still barriers for the aforementioned Russian exports, which does not favor fulfillment of the tasks connected with provision of global food security," the Kremlin said.
On July 22, the participants of negotiations on the Ukraine grain exports reached an agreement, and safe corridors to export grain appeared soon after that. The first ship with grain under the Sierra Leone flag departed from the port of Odessa at the beginning of August. The deal also envisaged simplification of Russian food exports.
